A New Content Journey

I’m not sure how to start my first blog post. I’d rather be open about it than try to write a catchy hook to draw you in for the rest of article. More than half of building something is starting it in the first place. This is the beginning of another part of my content/creative journey. Honestly, I’ve normally been better at communicating this way rather than on video, but I let it slip.

I’ve always had a passion for writing and storytelling. Really, I love sharing any and all things creative. Writing, editing videos, cooking, fixing a car, or any sort of cinematic adventure. It consumes a lot of my brainpower. I’ve been lucky enough to bring a lot of creativity into my professional life, but I can’t get enough of learning how to do all of it. My biggest downfall is not mastering any of those things, but I’m not sure that’ll ever change.

Alright…incoherent preamble complete. What does any of that have to do with why you’re here?

All the credit for creating this website goes to my friend, Inferno. He mentioned that some of my YouTube videos would be way easier to consume with blog post, companion pieces. I mainly make Escape from Tarkov content and, at times, that can be pretty dense. It would be a lot easier if there were some sort way to see a graph or table in written form than trying to pause a video at the exact right moment. So, I’ll be writing a post here and there for some of those videos. I really hope that it helps and it makes it easier for everyone to get the information they need.

But, that’s not all I’ll be posting here.

The reason for mentioning my obsession with all things creative is I’d like to also talk about some of that stuff too! Sometimes I see a movie or a TV show that I end up talking about on stream for 3 hours and I’d love to get those thoughts down on (metaphorical) paper. Maybe generate a little conversation. I like taking pictures sometimes so I may talk about some photography. More importantly, one of the main motivations was wanting to share some of the things I’ve learned from almost 3 years of making content. I’m not sure there’s a huge audience out there for that type of content, but if I can help someone get better or get over their fear of starting the journey I’d like to be there for motivation.

Over time I’ll narrow in what to really do here. I just want to share stuff I like with cool people and let people get to know me a bit. I appreciate you all understanding and I hope you’ll be along for the ride while I learn to write again and ramble (gradually more coherently) about things that are fun. So, if you like cool things then you’ll fit right in.

Love y’all,
